A common topic of discussion in webmaster forums today is how to succeed with Google Adsense and other pay per click programs. It is not uncommon to see novice webmasters complaining in forums about their inability to earn serious amounts of revenue from the ads they have placed on their websites. It is first important for you to realize that success with Adsense won’t come easy. Just like anything that is worthwhile, you will need to put forth a large amount of effort if you wish to become successful.

Not only will you be rewarded by clicks on your ads, but you can also earn money through affiliate programs or memberships.

The quality of your content is important. When it is combined with well placed ads and large amounts of traffic, you will see your Adsense profits soar. This is basically the “secret” of making money with Google Adsense. If you buy ebooks on the subject, they will all basically say the same thing. The thing that separates those who succeed from those who fail is persistence and hard work. Trying to cheat Google by clicking on your own ads will result in failure, no matter how sophisticated the technique is.

I don’t know how many times I’ve seen webmasters crying in the forums because their Adsense accounts suddenly got banned. Trying to cheat will not help you. Just write high quality content, build up your traffic, and merge your ads seamlessly with them. Once this is done, your website will be a success. When it comes to ad placement, some may argue that it is more of an art than a science. There may be a lot of truth to this statement. There is no limit to the many different ways you can present ads on your website.
